Update from Administrator – December 13, 2021
December 13, 2021
Thank you all for your continued patience and kindness throughout the COVID pandemic. This letter is a follow up to the telephone call and email you received last week informing you of the facility’s limitation on admission. The facility was placed on a limitation on admission out of an abundance of caution due to increasing COVID positive cases among our residents, during a seven-day period. If your loved one is temporarily treated or admitted at a hospital during this time, they are able to be re-admitted to our center.
The admission limitation will stop when our center has experienced 14 days without a new positive case and completes a survey with the Department of Public Health. This is a new process that began more than a year ago to ensure for everyone’s safety. Currently, South Shore’s last positive case was on December 5th.
We also continue to maintain strict infection control protocol such as hand washing, sanitizing of high traffic areas, and constant cleaning of the facility with the use of proper PPE.
Our visitation policy remains the same; we do encourage outdoor and virtual visits with your loved ones, and outside visits are still possible. Resident room visits are still allowed but discouraged during an outbreak. Visitation can be arranged in larger, common areas. When entering the building please remember to fill out the COVID-19 questionnaire and take your temperature. Masks continue to be required and face shields can be provided as well, if requested.
Thank you again for your patience and if there are any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call me at 781.878.3308.
Yours Sincerely
Jamie Carr
